CJM–From Generation To Generation
We were commissioned by The Contemporary Jewish Museum to design a graphic voice and catalog for the exhibition, From Generation To Generation: Inherited Memory and Contemporary Art. The twenty-four artists featured in the exhibition work with memories that are not their own. They remember and recall stories that were never theirs and assemble them in a variety of media to be seen, heard, and experienced by others. We worked closely with co-curators CJM Assistant Curator Pierre-François Galpin and independent curator Lily Siegel as well as CJM staff to build a flexible visual vocabulary that could boldly represent the exhibition identity from galleries to print. The catalog utilizes Swiss binding, metallic inks and mixed paper stocks.
